Nobility of Spinward Marches

The noble hierarchy of the Spinward Marches sector is one of the most fluid in the Imperium. The border has over the last few centuries not been stable, changing as a result of the Frontier Wars and as new systems are welcomed into the Imperium. This is expected to continue, especially as the induction of District 268 into the Imperium approaches.

Only landed nobility (a.k.a. High Nobility) and their families are listed below. Honorific nobility, while nobles of the Imperium, do not hold land-specific responsibilities or estates. In a few exceptional cases, landed nobility are rooted in estates on a world rather than the world itself -- these are usually specific grants bestowed by the Emperor himself.
