More useful information: I came up the BRP from Asheville last weekend, and found no significant park police presence from Asheville, NC to Meadows of Dan, VA. Tooled along at roughly 60 without any issues. Between Meadows of Dan, VA (Rt. 58 intersection) and Buena Vista, VA (Rt. 60 intersection) I found LOTS of park police. Basically they were out hunting Roanoke/Lynchburg squid daytrippers. At least 3 speed traps set up within 20 miles of Big Island, VA (James River intersection). I hit one trooper while doing 55, and dropping quickly on seeing him...he started to slow, but never came after me. They are looking for revenue in there. The good news is that the Winnebago population is low due to all the rain we've been having, and the Hardleys are easy to pass.
