It was. The "patch" never took. The cut would open right up a mile down the road. Tried several times, with no success, to repair. I decided to just risk it and pay attention to it. Here is the cut when discovered at the RCR: http://www.clarity.net/~paul/images/temp/rear020cut.jpg When the tire went flat, I assumed it was the cut, but it was elsewhere. The cut was still holding strong. It looked like I picked up a very sharp rock in the middle of the tread. If the tire had more tread, I think it would have been a non issue, but being bald, the rock just cut right in. Here is the tire when I got home: http://www.clarity.net/~paul/images/temp/rear020.jpg What is weird is it looked essentially just like that 1000 miles earlier. Just goes to show, droning on the highway really has little wear on the tire. Flipping the bike back on forth on the twisties however... -- ____________________________________________________________________ Paul Luevano | AMA * MSF |'99 CBR 600F4 (Racebike) http://teamdaemon.com | USM * CCS #898|'97 CBR 1100XX (Streetbike) Waltham, MA USA | NMA #116657 |'91 200TQ20V (Winter) _____"The purpose of man is to live, not to exist."-Jack London_____
