I got home safely.  I followed Carlos until just outside of Raleigh where we
split up.  We did 400+ each way, via the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge
Parkway, then on to back roads through VA and into NC.

On the Skyline there was a black bear, probably about 5'10" if he stood on
his rear legs, in the road.  He lumbered into the bushes on the side of the
road and watched us pass.  I swear he was looking at helmets thinking,
"Crunchy outside, chewy inside." ala Gary Larson.

A big thanks goes to Dave McElvain for the entire weekend it was great!!
