First, thanks to Dave L. for a memorable RCR ...
Lenore and I had a terrific weekend. It was good to
see everyone, and that hot tub was scrumptious.
We rode over the mountain a bit after the rain
finally stopped, and made it to Winchester, VA
on Sunday, where we grabbed a room, drank
leftover beer, and watched Johnny Mnemonic
with Blake Johnson and Tom Biggs, who were
staying next door. Monday we made it home
with an uneventful, but too hot for leathers,
ride to PA.

So here's another opportunity to get together.
October 5-8 is Columbus Day weekend, and
time for the 8th annual PCGR. For each of the
past 7 years, a group of Denizens has enjoyed
an October leaf-peeping ride to various PA
destinations. This year's ride is headed for the
Poconos, where we have reserved a block of
21 rooms at Blakeslee's Madison Inn, Routes
115 & 903 (near Pocono Raceway). The Inn
has a restaurant and bar with pool table, a
swimming pool and hot tub.

The ride starts with a hearty breakfast at our
home in Glenside, PA on Friday, October 5.
An entertaining route will be provided to get
you to the Madison Inn by mid-afternoon. (Or
you can plan your own route and hook up
with the group at the Inn.)

The $160 per person cost includes two nights'
lodging (double occupancy), dinners Friday and
Saturday, and breakfasts Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday evening's dinner is a catered feast
in the Madison's ballroom. Anyone who has that
Monday (10/8) off can make arrangements for
a third night.

Over 20 riders and their [SOs/friends/guests]
from previous years have already signed up.

your checks. I have to send the deposit to
