I don't mind being wet...but being wet and cold really sucks!! It was in the low 60's all the way out of WVa...rained hard enough that there was standing water almost everywhere on the road...the lightning was continuous and close...and traffic was unreal. Started warming up once I got closer to Winston Salem...and by Greensboro I wasn't shivering anymore. Got home and literally dumped the water out of my boots and gloves. One hot shower later and I was out in the yard pulling 4x4s out of the ground in prep for the contractor that was coming on Monday to start our new fence. Oh, what fun!! NOT!!! Had my gear spread all over the deck until last night when it finally dried out (brought it in before the rain started). Overall a wonderful trip! Great roads...great company...and a very nice location for camping!! Was gonna try to make MMG...but was to beat. -- John P.
