I think the 7 >>ruined houses in Raleigh county might very well be those buildings. Couldn't have been. Minden is in Fayette County. Looks like John and I made it out just in time. We packed up our tents in the rain, then suited up in the dry (thanks Melanie and Sharon for your hospitality that morning), and headed out around 6:30 - 7:00 AM. It actually stopped raining about 10 minutes before we left and it started back up when we got to the paved section of Minden Road - just long enough for us to get down those mud hills. The trip on I-77 sucked. We saw two very likely fatal accidents (one of which looks to have happened no more than a minute before we got there). It stopped raining on me between Wytheville and Marion, VA and I hit sunshine and 92 degrees at Bristol. Riding through the monsoon sucked, but excellent trip overall. -------------------------------------------------------- Michael Ragsdale '00 VFR800 mragsdal@utk.edu
