Subject: RCR X - Last Minute Details From: Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2001 20:13:13 -0400 Everyone (even people with their own tents) needs to check in at the Camp Store, first building on the right when you enter ACE. If the motorcycle gear doesn't immediately tip them off that you're there for the RCR, they should respond to either of the phrases "Denizens of Doom" or "Right Coast Ride". ACE has a list of who is in what lodging. Normal check-in hours are until midnight on Friday. If you arrive later than that, there will be a sign on the door directing you to come to our camping area. We're staying in an area called "Woodpecker Alley and Shady Lane". I have been assured that there are not giant cut-outs of Woody Woodpecker lining the road into our area. (Wait, that's a lie. I didn't even ask. I'm HOPING there are not giant cut-outs of Woody Woodpecker.) Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided at both the cabin tents and cozy cabins. Cozy cabins also have towels. The Dining Hall is shared with other people staying at the campgrounds; all you have to do when you go is tell them that you're with the RCR . Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am each day and has been left kind of loose so people can either rise early or sleep in as they like. Dinner will be at 6:30pm on Saturday for all RCR attendees, with awards and group photos at 7:30pm. The telephone number for ACE Adventure Center is +1.888.223.7238. Please make one last check of http://www.dd.org/~tale/rcr-x/ to see that the information I have for you is correct. I am leaving early on Thursday morning and do not plan to have net access for the duration of the trip. I will probably not be arriving until around 6:30pm on Friday. David tale@dd.org
