The spark plug wasn't mine, it was Amy's. TheBagWagen made it all the way back from there with about 2 threads holding the plug in place -- and some of those miles were with the luggage from *both* bikes (which all packed in just fine, that rig has an *awesome* luggage capacity. The flat tire [sic :-) ] was mine, and happened a mere 5 miles or so from a Guzzi dealer. The tube degraded around the stem area; a possible contributing factor may have been the new rear tyre's unexpectedly severe rubbing on the shaft housing while laden. So I started out on Avons, and ended up with a more conservative set of Metzelers. And a case of total lust for a metallic burgundy and silver Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro, which has to be the most beautiful bike *ever* produced. The rain fell on us both. Until I spat in my goggles, I rode by braille and Amy's taillights. After that I could see somewhat and was merely wet. > Inquiring minds want to know..... I'm sure they do... but I won't have time for a full trip report until at least next week.
