Wow, you folks need to ride more and write less... :-) First, many thanks to Martyn for all the work to put the RCR together. Despite all the whining that many made about the site (even from me for the lack of mountain passes at the end of the camp road) a great time was had. As usual whenever/wherever you get this mottley crew together. mrb == Mr. Bill, aka "me" writes: mrb> General location for the seventh annual event is projected for the mrb> Pocono Mountains region of eastern Pennsylvania. mr == Michael Ragsdale writes: mr> That's above the Maryland/Pennsylvania border and outside of the border mr> set up by the original RCR "elders" ... This was brought up at the RCR by others in the southern contingent, most notably "Ole Grandad" (any news yet? :-) It's my recollection that the northern PA border is correct, but I've been wrong before (amazing revelation :-). I do remember lots of folks (including me) making disparaging remarks about the condition of many PA backroads, and this was part of why many didn't want it that far up. Somebody will have to check their archives, maybe even me. It might be a while before I can, tho'. I got email while I was gone that my account is going to be unplugged very shortly. My "sponsor" left the University recently and I've been gone since the end of 1988, so my remaining time left will be spent sorting out files, remembering all the lists I need to unsubscribe from and finding a new home for the one list that I run myself. Y'all will have to fight this one out without me, at least until I get an ISP... :-( rn == "ravi narayan" writes: rn> waitaminit! i thought we passed critical mass for colorado???? Well, it *is* outside of the boundaries. Still, I expect the event to take place (right, Jim? :-). Call it the RC^2: Right Coasters Raiding Colorado! Kudos to PoPs for that name variant. ms == "Mike Sayers" writes: ms> AFAIK there were two rides: The Harley guys, Pops (and Mr. Bill?) ms> took off for Sturgis, Whoa... WHOA!! Watch who yer callin' a "Harley guy"! I've got enough trouble with the bikes I have as it is! :-) :-) PoPs, Jon Kadis and I rode out to see what all the commotion was about on the way to try and find some twisties (which we didn't). "Little" Sturgis wasn't much bigger than the RCR, tho' all the locals were mighty impressed with it. Things are *real* slow out in western Kentucky...
