There were no awards, nobody could think of any good ones I guess. We did elect next year's Oompah after he started conjecturing about having it in Pennsylvania. He looked stunned after he realized what had happened to him. Pops said if it was in PA he'd be in charge of beer. Nobody crashed (except the sad story I'm sure you've already heard). Nobody even dropped their bike at the campground. I kept waiting for it. Nobody was even wild or crazy with their bikes. No squids at this gathering (although a lot of us rode around the park in shorts). Martyn disappeared with Muffy into his tent Sat. night, that was the last I saw of her. I don't think he was up when I left Sun. morning. I guess he took her home. I'll find out Wed. night unless he won't talk. AFAIK there were two rides: The Harley guys, Pops (and Mr. Bill?) took off for Sturgis, and most of the rest of us followed Josh to Mammoth Cave where we took the $3 tour and ate a government-issue lunch. 52F felt really good after the hot ride. The biggest thing of note about the ride was the great skill of Wayne Orwig (with passenger!) on a Voyager XII riding at a pace I wouldn't have believed possible on that bike. We had 12 bikes on the way out, and 11 on the return (we lost two bikes who went off after a light bulb and gained Nikki who was inadvertently left out of the outbound trip while she ate breakfast).
