All the whinning/teasing aside, this RCR was a major learning experience and
I appreciate all those who helped me out, either through advice or inviting
me along on a ride where I could learn by example. Situations develop quickly
(e.g. Andy's Mud Slide; Charlotte's Attempted Stuff, Slewing Migrant Pickup)
and I feel I'm certainly more prepared and confident than prior to this trip.

Now I don't claim to love my bike as much as Martyn loves his Guzzi, but the
Vulcan did all right for itself. I bought it by reading magazine comparison
articles, without any test rides (MSF class was first moto ride since '69). I
like this longer distance touring stuff and maybe the ST1100 would fit the
bill somewhat better, but then the V-MAX sounds like a blast, and the
Valkyrie is pretty cool, and maybe Bob Kurtz will let me try out his
Monster......and where will this all end? 29th year may be my last!
