Subject: See y'all next year From: Tom Biggs Date: Sun, 4 Jun 2000 13:58:25 -0400 (EDT) I was ready for a good jog in them Kentuck hills, but my bike didn't cooperate. The master link took a powder on my first day riding down, only about four hours into the trip. It turns out to be more complicated than I would ever have imagined to get another master link installed. The bike wasn't roadable until 4:30 Friday afternoon. Since the sprocket cover got cracked, and the clutch slave cylinder is partly supported by the sprocket cover, I decided I didn't want to have the bike break down again even further from home. As it turned out, the bike ran fine. I decided to work my way back home from Maryland via an all *way* back roads tour of PA (I live near the Delaware River). Found some really blissful roads. Some were like paved cart tracks, and had really old farmhouses (imagine them with mud instead of pavement and that's exactly what the looked like in the 1800's). I found lots of little mountain roads with all of my favorite signs, the wiggly one, and the 10 mph curve warnings. So Saturday's ride home made up for the previous two days' frustration. Anyway, sorry to miss everyone, was looking forward to seeing y'all, but I'll be there next year.
