Nearly persuaded him to get rid of the Toyota truck but you can't carry as much firewood on a bike as I found out about 15 mins later. Also where Anne demonstrated how to treat burns the Chinese way. Chew tea (yeuk) and make a poultice to cover the burn. Wrap up and keep covered overnight. Next morning all she had was a tea stain on her hand. This was after grabbing a camping stove burner and leaving a layer of skin behind. It works and is worth remembering. > High temps and humidity two days in a row and no showers! BMW riders have an image to maintain. :-) > Ok, wave him by in a straight, damn guy on a dual sport just > blows by like I'm parked. But if we hadn't have had the luggage we'd have pissed all over him!!! (Yeah, sure!) And the guy on the CBR900RR just had more acceleration than we did. That's all. :-) BTW - I saw them out riding US 19 on the way back to Atlanta on the Thursday morning. That's a nice road too for a major route. > Well Mark left Anne and me after Deal's Gap, he had to make the torturous > ride back thru the gap and continued south to visit relatives. That evening I was taken to a Blue Grass picking session. If you're ever near Kingston, just south of Knoxville on a Tuesday evening, drop in. Go to Bradbury Community Centre on Buttermilk Road off the US70. It's close to one of the exits off the I40. People just turn up with their instruments and jam together in small groups all over the parking lot and in the hall until they feel like going home. Great atmosphere and good music and occasionally some well known names turn up. A good end to a day's riding.
