I certainly liked Camp West Mar and would like to see other RCRs held there. OTOH, I also like moving it around, finding new riding areas, etc. I do realize that new locations mean relearning site-specific logistics, not to mention simply *finding* new sites. I wouldn't like to do the same site more often than every other year, but I won't stay away if it doesn't. It hasn't kept me away from the Spring Fling. Besides, I'm a member of the "Elite Eight" and have a streak to maintain. :-) PoPs == "Bill Penschow" writes: PoPs> the facilities were more than adequate, You might wish to speak with some of the Denizenettes about that one. ;-) PoPs> we got no major hassles that I am aware of from the management, I spoke for a bit with the "proprietor" (is that the right term, Jim?) on Sunday morning. He was very friendly and personable, and didn't seem to have any nits with our outing. A *very* refreshing change over Turkey Tom. PoPs> The only thing that I question is, is that site too far North? JB> I think that Cass WV was just about midway as far as North/South goes. Laying a straight edge from Boston to Atlanta (the most *major* North/South participant sites, the Tavares'/Grohs/Snyders/Gents notwithstanding) puts Cass at just about the right latitude for a central location. West Mar has less of a northern bias than High Country does a southern. This is purely on geographics. If you wanted to normalize based on North/South "representation" that might be another matter. Southerners may be somewhat overrepresented due to the more southerly site locations of the past. (Sorry, I've been doing stat-stuff today, urp!) How about the "Crossroads of Time" and Deal's Gap, or does that clash too much with the Assault on D.G.? That seems to also be an annual event now. PoPs> you have one vote for RCR-V at Camp West Mar with Mr. Bill McLoone PoPs> as grand Oom-Pah. ^^^^^^^^ Geez, I never thought it would come to *this*: Mr. Bill(tm) :-) -- Bill Leavitt, leavitt@cs.umd.edu | "Blow it out your ass, motorcycle man!
