I just logged in to check my mail for the frist time. 495 unread messages... 'looks like I'll be waiting 'til I get back to work to sort this stuf out ;-) Breif highlights of the journy thus far: left Thurmont in absolute PISSING rain which finally came to a drizzle north of Gettysburg. Rest of route through PA was fabulous. 275 miles to my folks place. stayed a night, visited some friends, showed Kristi around my hometown then split the next morning for New Haven, CT to visit my bro lots of beer, little sleep. left in the morning and made it thru MASS and up VT 100 to Stowe for a night in a B&B. Lots of slow speed zones in Vermont, including a hidden 30mph sign just before some bast^H^H^H^H officer's hiding spot. I was in the lead, so he pulled me first, but he was a fair ass^H^H^H cop - K got one too ;-) Nothing like supporting the local constabulatory's wages with a little speed trap... Entering Canada was a pita. I guess there's something suspicious about a couple who had no destination, claimed they'd only be in the country for a few hours, and were toting large duffles strapped to their bikes. needless to say, we had to un/repack a bunch of gear for nothing... the NY border guard was way to lazy to leave his chair - likewise, he didn't make us get up either.... camped in the adirondacks, hot showers for $.25, but no *cold* knob! made it back to northern NJ for another free meal/bed with the folks. home cooking sure be good! rolled over 15,000 miles today. total since we left Raleigh is well over 1500. plan is to cross PA toward the southwest, down through WV, and back southeast to Ral... See ya in a few more days. -Brian PS. Kristi says hi! PPS. Anything going on for the 4th?
