No, Part 3 hasn't made it yet. Things have been a little hectic here recently, and I'm only a paragraph or two into it. It will get there eventually -- well before the final part of Charlie Lear's Iron Butt ride, anyway. :-) I should be able to finish it next week, with luck. Ob. "Get a bike, Ed" comment: It looks like I may have a bike before Ed does! Perhaps even before Rosi moves south (Hi, Rosi!). After what happened to the Spagthorpe in Charlotte I definitely need something that runs reliably. No, I'm not selling the good old Spag (so don't ask), but I'm awaiting several parts that a friend in Kenya has promised to search out for me. The other two Spags have almost completed rebuilds. I will keep you posted. I already have all the net.wisdom on Honda CX500's: anything else I should consider? Cheap, preferably shaft drive, cheap, reliable, cheap, not too difficult maintenance, cheap. Did I say it had to be cheap? A buyer has been found for the racecar, but not for as much as I'd hoped. By the time I deduct the cost of an Aerostich and good gloves from the proceeds, it doesn't leave much left. I must see if the NC licence tag "RATBIKE" is taken yet... :-) Oh yeah, how about if you have suggestions you email and I'll summarise? I only get to read rec.moto a couple of times a week now via rn over modem (usually around midnight), so there's rather a delay in the time news takes to get to me ... I'll read it eventually, it just may take a while for me to get there. Ob. dig at other net.personality: Did I hear that Steve Garnier is considering getting another bike? Does this mean that 157,000 miles is the limit for Yomaha!? Will he now ride on the beltline in the rain? Stay tuned... :-) :-) Martyn --------------sasmjw@unx.sas.com----(Martyn Wheeler)----DoD #293-------------- SAS Institute, Inc: (919) 677-8000 ext.7954 H: (919) 839-0092 (Raleigh, NC) "You're a pretty nice guy for a biker bum" -- Jon Rust
