As I mentioned to all of you that went to lunch with me after
the HoJo incident, the streetsign with a picture of the
club logo went out yesterday to the county road department that
serves the entrance road to High Country Cycle Camp. Below
the picture is another smaller sign with the words

                   JEP
              He went down
               in history
               for the DoD.
                 7/25/92

It's in bright colors, so you can't miss it.

The next time you go back there and get a chance to go through
that decreasing radius turn, stop for a few moments and have a
few moments of silence for the rider and the accident that
made the DoD famous.

BTW, if you look around at the back side, you'll see a list of
the companies that supplied the money to finance the project,
including:

   Aerostitch,
   The Jonesville Lumber Company,
   Metzeler,
   BMW NA,
   Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce,
   British Petroleum,
   The ACME welding and bump shop.

For sentimental value, the sign has been installed using the same 
fence post that ran in front of Jonathan.
