The crash was a low side at approx. 40mph. I slid on asphalt and then slid shortly on dirt/gravel. Held 275 Racing Gloves. These gloves held up well except for the rivet patch which ripped off the palm. I was quite unhappy with this and thought it defective. I talk to Helmut from Helimot (the US distributor) yesterday and he explained that that is actually a feature of the design (only single stitched) to save the glove and you from more serious damage. He told me to send in the glove for repair and told me about a new patch that they can put on the glove that actually gives more protection. It is Nomex back also and covers the palm slider area and around the thumb. It is a custom piece of leather and a custom job that Helimot does since the factory won't supposedly adopt this addition for another year or so. Stay tuned. -- Jonathan Polito DoD #x (K 100) jep@cs.duke.edu jpolito@encore.com "You Don't Say...." --- Sylvia Plath
