Things I learned: 1) Use sunscreen on the backs of my hands ("Nice glove tan(burn) Mike!") 2) June bugs are non_trivial at 70+ mph. 3) My bike likes highways. My gas milage went up a few points. 4) Semi's are non_trivial air disturbers. 4a) They do have a calm spot behind them for the strong willed. 5) Leave Georgia BEFORE 11 am. 6) My helmet, though comfortable for around town commuting, sucks for long trips. 7) Get a new seat. (Numb butt anyone?) I found the trip to be most enjoyable. Good camraderie (sp, I know). I only wish that I would have been able to get there earlier like I had hoped I would have been. I only got to fraternize a little bit. The denizens that were gathered turned out to be a great bunch of folks.(Oh, wait a minute, I mean they were a bunch of biker scum). I saw some beautiful bikes. From the Duc to some Harleys to a coupla nice beemers. It was far too easy to get drunk Sat night. I drank too much and crashed early. I missed much of the Seth drinking too much. Though I heard all about it in the morning. I haven't seen so many people hung over in a long while. Virtually all the people in my t-p were hung over (including myself). I felt sorry for the guy who dropped his Interceptor in the dirt. I angsted over my own bike's center stand. I felt humbled by some of the bikes, and felt proud of my own in comparison to others. I'm looking foreward to the next one. Though, if it is going to be farther north, I'm gonna have to take lessons in Yankee. Later! -- ________________________________________________________________________________ Michael Weaver |"Where ever you go, There will be something in your weaver@castor.cs.uga.edu | way." --Banzai Clutter Theorm DoD#0529 | 1982 Yamaha Vision 550 -- It's feeling better.
